Hessam Khalatbari

Born in Tehran in 1964 Hessam Khalatbari left Iran in 1984.
He graduated from the prestigious Institute of political Science (Science Po) with a degree in Economics and began his career in finance in 1987.
He worked for the largest banking institution, CL-Credit Argricole-BNP-SG as an investment banker before joining the American brokerage firm of GFI in 2011 as the co-head of Derivatives Brokerage department.
Passionate about the contemporary art of the Middle East he soon became an avid collector as well as a patron of a small group of emerging and established Iranian artists.
His ongoing collaboration with the Flamel Galerie shows his commitment to promoting talented Iranian artists and showcasing the immense and multi-faceted artistic heritage of his native country of Iran.
